Forest Emperor Project Launch by emilySculpts

The Forest Emperor : A Sculpture for the Environment

You may or may not have seen my recent upload of my Forest Emperor maquette, explaining my current project on kickstarter.com.  I am currently collecting funds in order to produce my largest piece yet, a 6 foot forest dragon that will cap the forest series that I have been working on.

Everyone that pledges money to the project will receive a reward.  Pledges start at $1; the higher the pledge, the more you will get back from me.  I have included rewards such as signed 8x10" photos of the finished piece, mini books documenting the creation of the piece, sculpted keychains (a "cute" version of the forest emperor), and sculpture commissions.  Additionally, the highest funder will receive the original maquette.

As a side note, I am no longer taking commissions so this is a great way to get a custom piece from me.  It is at a higher pledge amount, but you also get many other neat things too.  Plus, the higher the pledge, the better your chances of getting the maquette for your own!

In addition to the rewards, I will also be posting my progress on the piece in detail.  I will be sharing techniques for large scale sculpture and will be taking questions.  I will have progress posted on both my blog and flickr account.  I will also be doing scheduled livestream sessions where viewers can watch me work and ask questions real time.

Thanks so much for reading this.  I really appreciate any help you can give.  If you cannot send money, just passing on the link would help me out greatly.  There are a variety of quick links you can use on the project site.  Please note that if you pledge, your card or paypal account will not be charged until the project is fully funded.

This is such a cool idea! Also I just noticed you live in Orlando as well. I would love to be able to see the finished piece in person! :)
Just donated to the project, good luck!

I have been continually impressed by your work since I came across your sculpture at A Comic Shop. (If I am thinking of the right person here on deviantArt)

Either way, I like the sculpture for the environment idea.
Keep up the good work.
