Sculpture Commissions Opening January 15! by emilySculpts Sculpture Commissions Opening January 15! by emilySculpts

In ten days, I will be opening for my next round of commissions. As per usual, I will be taking a limited number of orders. For this current round, I am anticipating everyone to be able to get a slot, but it really just depends on how many orders come in.

This is the final round of commissions in which I will be taking “fan art” commissions. “Fan art” is a work based off of any property that you yourself do not own the rights to or have not gotten explicit permission to use. That means if you want your favorite Pokemon, your fan character based off My Little Pony, or a sculpture of Toothless, now is the time.

I will be taking as many requests as possible so get your quote requests in now. Work time on January sculpture orders will take place in January, February, and April. I will be taking March off from commissions to get ready for Monsterpalooza.

How to Get a Sculpture Commission Slot

1. Be sure to read my commission policy and pricing information in full. You will be expected to have done so prior to placing your request. Go there now.

2. Submit a commission application through my website. You will receive a response in 3-5 business days. Do not wait until the last second or you may not get a response in time.

Please do not be offended if I do not accept your request; it’s nothing personal. I have become more selective in the projects I take as I have less time to dedicate towards commissions.

Note, Please do not send commission requests via social media.  You must fill out the application form on my website in order to get a price quote.

3. If I accept your project proposal, you will be sent a price quote. Upon your acceptance of the price quote, you will be sent a PayPal invoice to keep on hand for opening day.

4. On January 14, I will review the outstanding invoices. I will send out an e-mail that day letting you know if you got a slot. Once you have received an email confirming your slot, simply pay your invoice before 9PM EST on January 15. If you don’t pay in a timely manner, you risk forfeiture of your slot.

Slot Distribution Policy

You MUST have gotten a price quote and PayPal invoice from me in advance in order to be considered for a slot. Outstanding invoices are reviewed the day before I officially open. You will receive an email on January 14 letting you know if you got a slot. Once you have confirmation, you have until 9PM EST on January 15th to pay your invoice. Once I close to payments, I will send you an e-mail with an estimated start date for your project.

I will accept as many requests as my schedule allows. If I have more invoices than I have time, some requests will have to be rejected. In the event that I don’t get enough payments to fill the queue, I will remain open until this happens.

2015 Schedule and Price Increases

My next round will not be until April of 2015, at the earliest. This round will come with my annual price increase. Also remember, I will no longer be taking “fan art” commissions at that point.

100% of the sculpture cost must be paid upfront before work can begin on the sculpture. This may be done one of two ways. You can either pay 100% on your initial deposit (recommended) OR you can pay 50% to secure your slot with the remaining 50% to be paid on or before the sculpture start date. 50% option is only available on sculptures priced at $300 and up.

When exactly should deposits be sent?

Once you receive an email confirming your slot, you have until 9PM EST on January 15 to pay your invoice. After that, you risk forfeiture of your slot.

If you live in a different time zone, use this handy time zone converter to figure out when to pay your deposit!

Please DO NOT pay your deposit before you receive confirmation of your slot or your payment will be returned to you.

Thank you so much for your interest in my work. I look forward to working with some of you in the coming months.
